18”x24” acrylic and pen on gallery wrapped canvas 2019
Description: Quick and free-spirited swipes of acrylic paint are layered upon themselves along with spots of spray paint and intuitive lines drawn with both pencil and pen. Though the background appears quiet, it is not without its own conversation. A soft pillow of frosting-like white movements surround the lively main form of color, lending a calm and peaceful platform on which the story can be told.

The Story: Saturday mornings in Miami are typically gorgeous. Sunny, blue-skied, and flowery, an ideal start to the day might be a trip to the beach just after sunrise when the air is still cool and mostly quiet, but just beginning to buzz with life. The oceanside parks are bright and fresh, and you can feel it in your spirit. The day is full of potential. My goal was to capture that bright energy on canvas.
