11”x14” Acrylic, soft pastel, and pen on heavy archival paper 2019
Details: Richly layered with my favorite pink, coral, and gray acrylic paints, and spiced up with black and metallic gold pens (and even some ochre pastel), this piece also allows space for sky blue and fiery orange and yellow hues. The repetitive painted brush strokes feel create a rhythm, and the arched and scribbled marks speak of LIFE and passion.
Please allow one week for the painting to leave the studio, in addition to the estimated shipping time at checkout.

The Story: Intuitively created, this piece started with a feeling and worked its way onto paper in a vibrant representation of devotion and love. The strong arch forms hint at figures of mountains, and the lyrics to the song “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” feel like they speak to just the kind of passionate sentiment this painting aims to convey.
“Listen baby, ain’t no mountain high
Ain’t no valley low, ain’t no river wide enough baby
If you need me call me no matter where you are
No matter how far don’t worry baby
Just call my name I’ll be there in a hurry
You don’t have to worry
‘Cause baby there ain’t no mountain high enough
Ain’t no valley low enough
Ain’t no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you babe”
